MANCHESTER - Interested in this fascinating ancient game? Israel Congregation of Manchester has announced the start of a six week class where you will learn mah jongg fundamentals - the tiles, their function, the "Charleston," and critical basic strategies of the game.

With the help of these lessons, handouts, and the National Mah Jongg League card, you will discover the fun and excitement of declaring your first "mah jongg."

Classes will be on Mondays Sept. 30, Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28, and Nov. 4 from 10 a.m.-12 at the synagogue, which is located at 6025 Main St. next to Town Hall.

The cost is $80 with half being donated to ICM.

A 2013 National Mah Jongg League card is required. All are welcome.

For more information or to register, call the synagogue office at 362-4578 or Merrily Lewis at 362-3810. Class size is limited.
