Magazines an option at Mark Skinner

MANCHESTER - Patrons of the Mark Skinner Library may now borrow magazines.

"We have something for everyone," said Executive Director of the library Betsy Bleakie. "Library customers can check out scores of informational and entertaining titles, including The Economist, Family Handyman, The Food Network Magazine, The New Yorker, Oprah, People, Real Simple, Rolling Stone, and Vanity Fair, to name a few."

Bleakie also said that access to magazines and journals does not end with what is on the shelf at Mark Skinner Library.

"If MSL doesn't own a magazine or journal, it most likely can be found on the Vermont Online Library (VOL)"

VOL provides access to reliable and reputable magazines, journals, newspapers and reference materials. Because Mark Skinner Library is a member of VOL, articles in the databases that comprise the online library are available to library members 24 hours-per-day from anywhere Internet access is available.

The Mark Skinner Library is located at 48 West Road in Manchester Village.

Hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.; Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

For more information, visit or call the library at (802) 362-2607.
