LTS hosts Kenya concert charity

DORSET - On Saturday, May 18, Long Trail School will open its doors wide for a fundraiser concert and dance.

Asking for a $5 donation as admission, Long Trail students will help the KURA Project raise money and awareness about students in Northern Kenya by hosting the musical group A2VT.

A2VT is a group of three young men from Africa. When war broke out in their home countries, they came to Vermont and have recorded an album, "Africa, Vermont" with grant funding from the Vermont Community Foundation.

The event runs from 7 - 9 p.m. with doors opening at 6:45 in the LTS gym in the Hunter Center for the Arts. Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. There will be seating so that folks can sit and listen, as well as clear floor space for dancing.

Two Congolese dancers will also perform. This event is open to and welcomes all ages.
