LTS 'Actors Anonymous' to stage One-Act play

DORSET - Actors Anonymous, Long Trail School's drama troupe, will be performing the one act play "Silenced on Barbour Street" by William Prenetta on Saturday, March 22 at 7:15 p.m. The performance will be preceded by a dinner to benefit the students who will be traveling to Scotland to act in this summer's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Diners will be entertained by singers from Dee Tigue's music class. An auction featuring many wonderful items will follow the dinner. The one act will be performed after the dinner and auction.

"Silenced on Barbour Street" features a cast of 21 students from grades 8-12 and two student technicians. It is an intensely dramatic piece recounting the story of the 1944 circus fire in Hartford, Conn. that took the lives of 168 people. The students chose this story, since they were moved by the tales of survivors and wanted an acting challenge.

Tickets for the March 22 performance are $25 for dinner, entertainment, dessert and the play. Tickets for the play and dessert only are $10. This is a play for mature audiences only, please. For further information, contact Chelley Tifft at or 802-867-5717 x190.
