LTS actors advance

DORSET - The cast and crew of Long Trail's "Macbeth, A Tale of Darkness" hosted five other schools and still managed to be one of the two schools advancing to the State Festival for their performance at the Vermont Regional One Act Festival on Saturday, March 23.

Wrecker Kozal received an award for lighting; Gabby Corey, Hannah Phelps and Olivia Lane received individual acting awards for playing the witches; Jessica Gee and Jordan LaMothe received individual acting awards for their portrayals of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. The cast also received an award for outstanding ensemble work. This is an award that is rarely given and indicates that every performer did an outstanding job.

The Vermont State Drama Festival will be held at Randolph Union High School in Randolph on April 5 and 6. Long Trail will be performing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 6. Two schools will be selected from this ten school festival to advance to the New England Drama Festival held in Rhode Island this year.
