Loomis headed to GeoBee

DORSET - Long Trail School seventh grader Oscar Loomis is a semifinalist in the 2014 Vermont State Geographic Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek.

This is the second level of the National Geographic Bee competition. The State Geographic Bee will be held at Middlebury College on Friday, April 4.

The state winner will receive $100, the "Complete National Geographic on DVD" and a trip to Washington, DC to represent Vermont in the National Geographic Bee finals to be held at National Geographic Society headquarters in May.
