'Living with Parkinson's' at Bennington Library

BENNINGTON - The Bennington Free Library and the Bennington County Caregivers Coalition have announced a new workshop in the Home Caregivers' series, "Living with Parkinson's" on Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bennington Free Library, which is located at 101 Silver Street in Bennington.

The featured speaker will be Jean Baker, Department of Neurology at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Baker has worked with patients with Parkinson's Disease for 15 years, first as a nurse and for the past two years as a Nurse Practitioner. She will be presenting a research poster on the issue of hospitalization in Parkinson's Disease patients at the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society International Congress in Stockholm, Sweden in June.

The workshop is free and open to the public and is funded through a grant from the Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging. Pre-registration is recommended by June 2. A light supper will be served. The library is wheelchair accessible.
