Lifeguard course offered


MANCHESTER >> Are you interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? Through videos, group discussion and hands on practice, you will learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills needed to work as a professional lifeguard.

The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department will be offering an American Red Cross Life Guarding Course at the Manchester Parks and Recreation Park House, Pool and the Equinox Resort Pool. The course runs from June 5 -June 19 on the following dates and times: Sunday June 5, 2-10 p.m, Monday June 6, 4:30-10 p.m,; Sunday June 12 4:30-10 p.m,; Monday June 13 4:30-10 p.m,; Saturday June 18 10-3 p.m., and Sunday June 19 10-3 p.m. Prerequisites for the course: Must be 15 years of age and pass certain swimming requirements.
