Learn to knit

MANCHESTER >> Kids ages 10 to 14 can learn to knit an infinity scarf at the Manchester Community Library. Come to the YA Loft on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. Meet Melissa from Manchester's local yarn shop, Knit One Purl One. The shop will donate all the yarn needed, and the library will provide the needles.

Learn the basics of casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, and how to make an infinity scarf. This free program, open to the public, is generously sponsored by Berkshire Bank. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. Call Janet at the Library now at 549-4580 or email Janet at jkleinberg@mclvt.org to sign up. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Ave., near the corner of Route 7A.
