L.E.A.D. fair to open Thursday

MANCHESTER >> The thrill of amusement rides. The smell of sausage and peppers and plenty of ice cream will be the talk of Manchester on July 28-31.

The first ever Green Mountain Fair will take place at Dorr Farm next to Manchester Recreation Center, located on Route 30 near the town's Roundabout.

Fairgoers will experience local entertainment, craft, and business vendors along with a spectacular midway by Amusements of America.

"We are excited about bringing this great event to Southern Vermont within a half an hour drive from Rutland, Bennington, and areas of New York State along with Manchester Special Olympics Vermont," says L.E.A.D.'s (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) Executive Director & CEO Nicholas DeMauro.

The event will benefit the two local non-profits. The Fair opens daily at 5 p.m. and at noon on the weekend.
