L'derry rescue squad seeks volunteers

LONDONDERRY - The Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad (LVRS) is looking for volunteers for a one-day project on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Volunteers are needed between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to help label and stuff 10,000 letters for the rescue squad's annual benefit and fund-raiser.

Come for an hour or two, or plan to stay for the day. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

The rescue squad serves the tri-mountain towns of Bondville, Jamaica, Landgrove, Londonderry, Peru, South Londonderry, Stratton, Weston, Windham, and Winhall. The funds raised will cover the squad's day-to-day operating expenses, training, ambulance maintenance and replacement, and the purchase of equipment and supplies.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome. LVRS is located at 6068 Route 100 in Londonderry, just north of the blinking light in Londonderry and approximately 1/3 mile north of the intersection of Routes 100 and 11. For more information, contact Nicole Fillion at (802) 558-0397 (days).
