Landgrove Meeting House begins summer services

LANDGROVE - The Landgrove Meeting House - previously known as the Landgrove Community Church - begin their summer services for 2013 on July 7. Episcopal minister the Reverend Oliver Larry Yarborough, who serves as the Tillinghurst Professor of Religion at Middlebury College where he has taught for 30 years, will be the Meeting House's first guest minister and celebrant of the new season.

Rev. Yarborough, a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont, is also affiliated with St. Stephen's on the Green in Middlebury. His areas of teaching and research are early Christianity and Judaism with focus on the Bible as well as other literature of those two religious traditions. He is a noted, serious scholar and superb speaker.

All are most welcome to attend the Meeting House services which begin each summer Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Noted regional organist and choir director Carol Wing will provide the service organ music. Come early for both incidental music and a prelude. Refreshments will be served in the garden following, weather permitting.
