Knitting campaign at Yarns for Your Soul

MANCHESTER - Yarns for Your Soul will be continuing with their charity knitting campaign, "Knit for Your Soul and Theirs" by knitting hats for premature babies during the months of February and March.

Under the auspices of the Care Wear Organization, finished projects will provide newborns in neonatal intensive care units with hats and booties. Knitted hats are especially helpful to these tiny babies for retaining body heat and relieving stress on their circulatory systems. Donations from Yarns for Your Soul will be going to the Neonatal Units at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland and Southwestern Medical Center in Bennington.

Yarns for Your Soul has designed a free hat pattern to be used for Care Wear donations, that is available at the shop along with the recommended materials. Upon completion of this project, volunteers will receive a coupon for 10 percent off of a future purchase.

For more information, visit the shop located at 605 Depot Street in Manchester Center. Shop hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
