Jamaica's Old Home Day celebration

JAMAICA - On Saturday, July 27, beginning at 11 a.m., Jamaica will hold their annual Old Home Day. There will be a parade with floats, bands, events, races, prizes, food, music and dancing, games for kids, a magic show, a free exhibition of quilts for kids and arts & crafts. Also, there will be a flea market, traditional Abenaki singing, Vermont history and culture, vendors, exhibitions by the Green Mountain Woodcarvers, entertainers, a chili cook-off and a chicken barbecue. Then at 7 p.m. there will be a square dance with Vermont's famous Bills Band. The street party wraps up around 10 p.m.
