Improv comedy at Riley Center

MANCHESTER - The Burr and Burton Performing Arts Department will present "A Weekend of Improv," on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 in the Riley Center for the Arts. Both performances are at 6:30 p.m.

BBA alumnus and guest artist Alec Lewis '07 has been working with a talented and funny group of BBA students to develop skills for improvisation. Lewis co-founded Cape Ann Improv, based on the North Shore of Massachusetts. They are committed to using improv to develop self-confidence, team building, and communal creativity. Members of Cape Ann Improv have performed professionally throughout New England and across the country.

Lewis and Cape Ann Improv will open the weekend with an original show that has not been seen before and will never be available again.

Prior to Saturday's performance, there will be a drop-in workshop open to the entire community where everyone is invited to experience the joys and magic of improvisation. This workshop will run from 3-5 p.m. No registration is required.
