Iditarod fundraiser set

MANCHESTER - There will be a fundraiser on March 22 at the Manchester Eagles Club beginning at 6 p.m. to help Gwenn Perkins Bogart of Manchester who is attempting to complete the 2015 Iditarod.

Perkins Bogart has already qualified for the 2015 Iditarod and is the first Vermont woman to accomplish the feat.

There will be a raffle to win a trip to Alaska as part of the fundraiser. The trip includes airfare for two, the winner's choice of the airport to Anchorage, all lodging, fly out fishing, bear viewing, four wheeling, and sky treking.

The cost is $20 per ticket or five for $90. All proceeds will go to Gwenn Bogart's Iditarod Fund. Raffle tickets available at H. N Williams Store, Northshire Book Store, the Reel Angler, The Eagles CLub, Wells Country Store, Mach's Market in Pawlet, Chem Clean and the Wayside Country Store in Arlington. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the fundraiser.

The winner will be chosen at the fundraiser on March 22. Live music for the event will be provided by Gold Town and the winner does not need to be present to win. There are only 1,000 tickets to be sold.
