Houck elected to ISANNE board

BONDVILLE - Daren Houck, headmaster at The Mountain School at Winhall, has been elected to serve on the Independent Schools Association of Northern New England's (ISANNE) Board of Directors. ISANNE is a membership association of schools with proud independent traditions in the Northern New England states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The Association, a regional association of the National Association of Independent Schools, is 70 schools strong and has a diverse membership of boarding schools, day schools and town academies. ISANNE unites, supports and promotes its diverse member schools in a changing world.

Houck has been an educator and administrator for over 18 years, earning his Master's in Educational Leadership from University of South Florida. He has taught in Ohio, Florida and Vermont. He joined The Mountain School as headmaster in 2004 and serves as Board Chair of the newly formed Village School of North Bennington. Daren is also the owner of Green Mountain Educational Consulting.

The Mountain School at Winhall is an accredited Pre-K-8 independent community school in Bondville.
