Historical Society invites visitors

DANBY >> The Mt. Tabor-Danby Historical Society invites everyone to come visit their new home in the lower level of the S. L. Griffith Library, 74 South Main. St., Danby on Saturday Aug. 20, from 11-1 p.m. After Tropical Storm Irene washed away their building and most of its contents, the Society was able to lease and renovate the lower level of the Library for museum space and a conference room in which to hold presentations.

Many people have made historic artifacts and documents available to the Society which are now on display, as well as much information which is included in their web site: mttabor-danbyhistoricalsociety.org where it can never be lost to flood or fire. This is a fine opportunity to see what a beautiful renovation has been accomplished with the help of Vermont Quarries, Inc. and to learn more about the society and enjoy light refreshments.
