Healthy Alternatives Fair set

DORSET - All seventh through 12th grade students who attend local schools are invited to attend The Collaborative's Healthy Alternatives Fair on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Long Trail School from 3-5 p.m.

The Healthy Alternatives Fair supports youth by providing them with the opportunity to try new activities and learn new skills taught by community members. Studies have shown that youth who are involved are less likely to engage in high-risk behaviors.

This year workshops include Yoga with Lisa May, Self-defense and Mantra writing with Kristi Marcus, Landscape Drawing with Lynnette Volden, It's My Life with Miriam Hyman, and Minute to Win It games with Mark Weikert.

Attendance at the Healthy Alternatives Fair also counts as a make-up event for participants in The Collaborative's Refuse to Use program. For more information visit our website
