Handgun stolen in Dorset

DORSET - Last Friday the Vermont State Police received a report from Michael Bowen, 42, of Dorset that someone had stolen a handgun from his vehicle.

According to the police report, the gun was stolen sometime between 3 p.m. on Thursday and 6 a.m. on Friday while Bowen's vehicle was parked either at the East Dorset Fire House or at his home on Pleasant Street. The handgun is a 9mm Austra.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at Shaftsbury Barracks. Information can also be submitted anonymously online at www.vtips.info.
