Habitat store now open
The Shires ReSale Store will be replacing the annual auction as a major fundraiser for the Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity. Bennington Habitat is currently building two homes on Jennifer Lane in Manchester. The Store will be selling new and gently use furniture, building supplies, appliances, tools, housewares and home improvement products that have been donated to the affiliate. Some of the goals are to keep usable items from going into the waste stream, expand the items that may be accepted to include building materials and supplies and offer products at far less than retail prices. Currently the rafters are hanging with chairs, household furniture and furnishings (round oak dining room table, couch, upholstered chairs, shelves, side tables, beds), recreational equipment, winter sleds, summer tennis rackets, computer desks, and a growing stock of garden tools and building materials.
Visit the website at http://www.benningtonareahabitat.com/index.php/shiresstore to see photos of some items. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 802 367-1000.
The store is located at 2012 Route 11/30 going east out of Manchester, one mile from the railroad tracks, in the octagonal building formerly occupied by the Skiers Edge.
