Green Up Day in Londonderry

LONDONDERRY - Volunteers are taking part in greening up Londonderry this year on Saturday, May 4.

The public is encouraged to lend a helping hand. Bags will be available prior to May 4 at Clark's IGA, The Londonderry Transfer Station, People's United Bank and the Londonderry Town Office. People may stop in and ask for the amount they need.

Londonderry's town trucks will be parked at The Mill Restaurant on Route 11 in Londonderry and The Depot building on Route 100 in South Londonderry for bag drop off on May 4. For those who green up on or before that date should bring their Green-Up bags to the Transfer Station where they can be dropped off free of charge.

For questions or information call Maureen Cronin at 824-3782 or Esther Fishman at 824-3306.
