Greatest Generation film series continues
MANCHESTER CENTER>> Manchester Community Library will screen an Oscar Winning World War II war drama on Wednesday, July 13 at 2 p.m. in the Lower Level Gallery.
At "Twelve O'Clock High," a hard-as-nails general takes over a bomber unit suffering from low morale and whips them into fighting shape. Blending "thrilling action" with "personal drama brought to heroic heights" (The New York Times), this 1949 winner of two Academy Awards stars Gregory Peck in "the best performance of his career" (Look), a role which earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination.
The film screening is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, courtesy of Equinox Terrace. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Ave. in Manchester Center. Info: 802-362-2607.
