GNAT to broadcast Battle Day Parade

MANCHESTER >> GNAT-TV of Manchester will once again simulcast the Bennington Battle Day Parade on Sunday, Aug. 14.

The show will be on Channel 15 beginning at noon with the pre-parade show and run through the entire length of the parade, which usually lasts until approximately 3 p.m.

The pre-parade show this year will focus on previous Battle Day Parades and historical facts presented by Judy Ziller, previous CAT-TV Board of Director and former CAT-TV staff member.

Beginning live at 12:30 p.m, CAT-TV hosts, Matt Harrington, executive director of the Bennington Chamber of Commerce; and John Shannahan, executive director of the Better Bennington Corporation, will give a live synopsis of what the television viewers will see throughout the afternoon.

At 1 p.m., radio announcer Ben Patten, from Magic 100.5 FM and 590 AM, takes over with a description of what's coming up next throughout the afternoon.

For those that are disabled, elderly, shut ins, or ill and cannot go outside, this is an opportunity to be able to watch the entire parade.
