GMALL offers literary talk

MANCHESTER - Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning will present "Hospitality and Treachery in Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" and Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" with Professor James Heffernan on Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This re-scheduled lecture will take place at Equinox Village in Manchester.

Drawn from his new book, "Hospitality and Treachery in Western Literature," James Heffernan re-examines two famous 19th century English novels. James Heffernan is Professor of English Emeritus at Dartmouth College since 2004. He is the founding editor of Review 19, an online review of books on 19th century English and American literature. He is the author of several books including the recently released, "Hospitality and Treachery in Western Literature," Yale University Press, 2014, which is available for purchase at Northshire Bookstore in Manchester.
