Giving the gift of music
MANCHESTER >> Since 2012 it has become an annual tradition for Mother Myrick's Confectionary owners, Ron Mancini and Jacki Baker to donate $1 from each box of their Buttercrunch sales towards the scholarship fund of the Michael Rudiakov Music Academy (MRMA). MRMA is a string program founded in 2001 under the wing of the Manchester Music Festival (MMF), offering lessons in violin, viola and cello. About one-third of the 32 students currently receive financial aid. The students not only get lessons from highly trained professionals, but also participate in recitals, family concerts, master classes, ensembles and other events.
