Gawlik Awards presented

MANCHESTER - The fourth annual Gawlik Awards were held Thursday, June 5, at the southern Vermont Arts Center. The awards recognize student achievements and accomplishments in media and performing arts.

This year's Gawlik award winners included: Best Stop Motion - "Animal Tracks" - Danielle Hazelton and Carling Berkhout; Best Animation - "Smile" - Siyuan (David) Zhou; Best Public Service Announcement - "Second Chance" - David Rose, Danielle Hazelton, Alex Griswold; Best Action Sports - "On The Fly" Tim Swinarton; Best Movie Scene - "The Breakfast Club" Stevie Hunter, Maddy Pagnucco, Zach Gordon, Catherine Burgess, Joey Shehadi, Taylor Nowicki, Sam Silsby; Best Documentary/News Story - "The Renaissance Man" - Genevieve Sambrook; Best Commercial - "Whippy Swift" - Owen Barclay, Elsa Bean, Taylor Muench; Best Foreign Trip Film - "Ecuador" - David Rose Best; TV Scene - "Parks and Rec: Little Sebastian" - Mary Sniatkowski, Quinn Murphy, Elliot Peters; Best Music Film - "Same Love" - Danielle Hazelton and Carling Berkhout; Best Sketch Comedy - "Lettuce" - Owen Barclay, Sam Anglum, Nora Lindberg; Best Film - "Love Lasts" - David Rose, Zach Gordon, Joey Shehadi, Olson Humphrey, John Amigo; Humanitarian Award: Jonathan Goldsmith (Dos Equis); Distinguished Alumni Award: Robbie Knowles, Lifetime Achievement Award: Dan DeForrest; Gawlik Award: David Rose.
