Fracking on film at Village Picture Shows

Posted
MANCHESTER - Transition Town Manchester is bringing the film "Dear Governor Cuomo" to the Village Picture Shows, for a screening on Sunday, Feb. 3. Filmmaker Jon Bowermaster will be here for the Vermont premier of his film, which will be shown at noon that day.

The film delves into the facts about how hydro-fracking is currently ruining America's water supply, and then periodically serves up some healing music to help us digest this truth. The combination of music and authentic voices calling for action make for a powerful and moving film experience, according to Transition Town Manchester.

The film is also an advancement in advocacy media, as it attempts to create political pressure on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to stop fracking's advance into New York City's watershed. There will be a short discussion with the filmmaker afterwards. Suggested donation is $10. Discounts are available to students/seniors.
