'Four on the 4th' road race planned


MANCHESTER >> The Manchester Vermont 4 on the 4th run celebrating the Fourth of July is on. Start out the day by enjoying a 4 mile run/jog starting and ending at Rec Park. The Battenkill Valley Road Runners is teaming up with Heartworks of Vermont in support of the local chapter of the Nurse-Family Partnership, a charity that helps build strong families through early support, education, and nurturing of expectant mothers and young families.

The race will start promptly at 9 a.m. and the kids 1 mile fun run will starts at 10 a.m. There are prizes for the top three female and male finishers below 50 years and 50 years and above. The course is mostly flat and does not cross any roads.
