SUNDERLAND - A four car collision at the intersection of Hill Farm Road and Route 7A resulted in a 71 year-old Dorset woman being transported to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Sunday.

According to the Vermont State Police, shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, a vehicle being driven by Amber Bahan, 25, of Wallingford, was stopped in the southbound lane waiting to turn left onto Hill Farm Road. A second vehicle, being driven by Katharine Hunter, 17, of Manchester, was traveling behind Bahan and collided with the rear end her car.

When Hunter's vehicle collided with Bahan's it caused the back end of Hunter's car to enter into the northbound lane in front of a vehicle being driven by Stephanie Jacob. 71, of Dorset. Jacob's vehicle then collided with Hunter's. The collision caused Jacob's vehicle to run off the roadway along the northbound shoulder and collide with a fourth vehicle, owned by Greg Ralston, 26, of Bennington, that was parked in the parking lot of 6328 VT Route 7A, and was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

Jacob was transported to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center to be treated for any possible injuries.

The crash is still under investigation, but no court action has been ordered, according the state police's report.
