Forget the chili: BBA to host "Wings" Challenge

MANCHESTER - Burr and Burton Academy will be hosting a "Manchester Wing Challenge" fundraiser on Saturday, March 8 from 4-7 p.m. to benefit the Student Success Program.

The event will be held in the Burr and Burton cafeteria and will feature chicken wings from the local wing experts: Mulligans, Seasons, Fire Fly, the Perfect Wife, and Sam's Wood Fired Pizza. For a $15 entry fee, guests will get to sample the wings from each restaurant and cast a vote for their favorite wing.

Pizza, salad, and drinks (both beer and nonalcoholic choices) will be available as well as raffle tickets to win Burr and Burton student art work and woodwork. The money raised from this event will go to support BBA's Student Success Program and the Stratton Foundation with participation in the 24 Hours at Stratton Event.

The Student Success Program is aimed at supporting low-income and first-generation scholars by offering a network of support to enhance academics and opportunities. This event will feature live music provided by BBA student musicians and will be staffed by teachers and students involved in the Success Program.
