For Linda Spence
All of us who live in Manchester are impoverished by the sudden death of our town clerk, Linda Spence. Linda knew the ins and outs of much of what makes Manchester work, and it was always a pleasure to be in her office with Carl, the "town dog."
Many might not know but Linda's heart was large; she was able to counsel many people in our town in a quiet way that helped people reaffirm relationships in difficult circumstances. She certainly knew people, having issued marriage licenses for so many years, including my own just last week. Let Linda's sudden leaving of life remind us to tell others we love them, and often.
