Fisher Elementary students visit Equinox Terrace

ARLINGTON >> Fisher Elementary teachers Shirley Casey and Donna Bazyk, along with Mrs. Casey's fourth grade students, spent a morning with Equinox Terrace residents in Manchester. The students read stanzas from Robert Frost's poem, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," shared holiday haiku poems they had written, and sang carols they had performed at the Fisher Winter Concert. Students also spent time reading with each guest. At the end of the gathering, students and residents exchanged cards and candy canes.

Bazyk, who helped organize the event, was happy with the morning.

"It was really wonderful," she said. "Everyone had a great time getting to know each other. We've already planned to come back again."

Shown here are Fisher fourth graders Adriana Realmuto and Ava Lawler reading to a resident at Equinox Terrace.
