First Wednesdays treat
It was a treat, as one of a number of former students of UVM professor Mark Stoler in attendance, to hear him here in Manchester Center last week as part of the First Wednesday series sponsored by that the Vermont Humanities Council program and hosted by Mark Skinner Library. Mark gave a sweeping and in-depth overview of the Marshall Plan which was a treat to all who were there. We are fortunate for such a series in Manchester, which we are told has the best attendance for this series around the state of Vermont, and for the Keelan Family Foundation which underwrites these talks.
