Feb. vacation, basketball camps set
There will be an all day trip to the Upper Valley Aquatic Center plus each child will have the opportunity to go swimming at VAC and climb at the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center. Camp is open for children in grades K-6. In addition, there will be arts and crafts, fun sports in the gym and plenty of outside time at Giorgetti Park. Skating and sledding will take place at Giorgetti Park. The week will conclude with a BBQ.
Structured camp time will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost will be for $109 for residents and $120 for non-residents. Pre- and post care will also be offered, resulting in the camp day beginning at 8 a.m. and running until 5 p.m. The fee for this option is $129 for residents and $140 for non-residents. Those who register their children before Feb. 2 will receive a $10 discount. The basketball camp - taking place from Feb. 18-22 - is for boys and girls in grades 3-8 who want to improve their game. Sessions will begin with skill work, which includes shooting, passing, and ball handling. The latter half of the sessions will include game play development and offensive and defensive strategies designed to meet the needs of the aspiring player. Drills to enhance quickness, agility, explosiveness, core strength, passing skills, defense, and individual 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 play are just part of the package.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. until noon at the Keefe gym. The fee is $53 for residents and $64 for non-residents.
