FBoM's to host block party

MANCHESTER >> The Female Business Owners of Manchester (FBoMs) are hosting a block party on Friday, July 1 from 4-8 p.m. in the parking lot in front of JOY all things underthings and Zippy Chicks and alongside the John Zaccheo Fine Art Gallery on Main Street in Manchester. The second annual event kicks off the holiday weekend with music, food, kids activities, art, shopping, and community.

Regional favorite Freddi Shehadi will be performing on the porch of the gallery with his kick-off-your-shoes-and-dance blend of rock, soul, and funk. Tents will be set up around the parking lot with refreshments, art demonstrations, shopping, and activities for the kids. Nan-Z's hot dog cart, Mach's Mobile Pizza Oven, Perfect Wife, Farmstore, and other local vendors will be set up with food and drink and there will be several shopping tents set up including Zippy Chicks, Heinel's, and Treehouse Jewelry.

Artists from the John Zaccheo gallery will be painting in front of spectators again – this was a big crowd favorite last year; and Stacy Gates will have her wonderful array of art activities for the kids. Admission is free and the FBoMs will make a donation to the Manchester chapter of the VFW in honor of the event.
