Farmers, crafters at Market Place

Posted
RUTLAND - Downtown Rutland has a new venue for local crafts and farm products.

The Market Place, located on 122 West Street in Rutland, is an indoor market featuring area farmers and crafters.

The Market Place is open during the month of December on Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Currently, more than 15 farmers and crafters are offering maple syrup, chicken, eggs, jams and jellies, cheese, bread and baked goods as well as wooden, leather, crocheted, knitted, and sewn items, plus jewelry, lamps, wreaths, and holiday ornaments to fit holiday shopping needs. Live music on Saturdays.

The Market Place is a "producer only" market, which means that vendors sell only what they make themselves. Stop by on Friday afternoon or Saturday to visit The Market Place.

The Market Place is accepting additional vendors; interested farmers and crafters should contact Diane Heleba at helebapotatofarm@ netzero.net or 802 353-0893.
