Education Forum to be held at LTS
These free events will involve the community in discussions about educational methods and fresh approaches to thinking and teaching. Long Trail will kick off the series with a forum entitled Vermont Made---and World Class, which will utilize a panel of local business owners and educational leaders to discuss how to best prepare students for success in a global society.
Parents, teachers, and stakeholders in the area are invited to weigh in on a crucial discussion about the future of local children. Many say that today's education should be about broadening perspectives, providing essential skills, and building character to prepare for the challenges of a world that is shifting economically, politically, and socially. This forum will initiate public dialogue about how we can achieve this.
The conversation will take place at Long Trail's Hunter Center on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Refreshments and a Q & A session will be part of the evening.
Announcements about other Community Classroom presentations at Long Trail will be forthcoming.
