Downtown School to hold open house


MANCHESTER >> The Downtown School, Manchester's independent, progressive-education elementary school will hold an Open House Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Open House is a chance for interested families to visit the school, meet the teachers, learn about admissions and financial aid, and find out all about educational opportunities at The Downtown School.

The Downtown School is currently accepting applications for three-year-olds through 4th grade for the 2016-2017 school year, and will add a grade each year until reaching 8th grade. The school offers a challenging and inspiring interdisciplinary curriculum focused on fostering authentic learning experiences, empowering independence, and building lifelong learners. In addition to a rigorous academic environment, the school provides students with significant outdoor time each day as well as specialist-led classes in Mandarin Chinese, music, art, movement, and yoga.
