Dorset Players to offer one-act play fest
Each season, the One-Act Play Festival affords directors and actors an opportunity to spread their wings in a shorter format. This year, the line-up includes a very amusing piece for four women directed by Gary Meitrott entitled "A Coupla Bimbos Sittin' Around Talkin'," as well as a poignant portrait of a man's willingness to adapt to a changing world, entitled "Lou Gehrig Did Not Die Of Cancer," to be directed by Bill Cruikshank. The evening of one-acts will also include a monologue by Steven Dunning, to be directed by Jeffrey Linebeck, as well as ensemble plays to be directed by Adrienne Cote and Zachary Zupan.
The cast includes Elizabeth Hazelton, Tracy Hughes, Caroline Hogan, Vanessa Beattie, Kya Davis, Rachel Foster, Kevin O'Toole, and Debby Goldman.
Adrienne Cote will direct "The Blueberry Hill Accord," a humorous take on just how best friends might formalize a break-up. Zachary Zupan will direct "The Spot," a very funny, yet cynical slice of political advertising at work.
