Dorset Historical Society to hold talk on Vermont gunmakers
Carrie Brown, Ph.D., in conjunction with the Vermont Humanities Council, will present her research on how the North provided two million soldiers with weapons in a short period of time from manufacturers in Windsor, Vt. and how the technology shaped American life after the war.
The lecture will be held at the Bley House Museum located at the corner of Kent Hill Road and Route 30 in Dorset. It is free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to bring a sandwich to the lecture. Dessert and refreshments will be provided.
