BENNINGTON >> The 2nd Annual Dine to Your Heart's Delight — a week-long "shop local" week, $10,000 Save a Heart Cash Raffle, and upscale dance party—raised more than $17,000 for heart health programs and education at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Twenty local businesses participated in the event by donating a portion of their proceeds from the week of April 1 – 8. Gold level sponsors included the Taconic Hotel in Manchester, Pangaea Restaurant in North Bennington, and well as The Elm Street Market, Time for Yourself LLC, and the Four Chimneys Inn in Bennington.

The week-long event culminated in an upscale dance party April 9 at the Taconic Hotel. The event hosted a sold-out crowd of 215 attendees for food, wine pairings, music by Funk in the Trunk, and the drawing of a $10,000 cash raffle. Raffle winners included Suzanne Kennedy of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Paul Vinsel, MD, of Saratoga Spring, N.Y., and James Williams of North Bennington.

"The success of this event is thanks to the Dine to Your Heart's Delight committee members and sponsors," said Scott Rogge, MD, chief of Cardiology. "We are grateful that our community supports high quality cardiology care at events like this."
