Deck the halls with art from 3Pears

DORSET >> Ginny Joyner has waved her watercolor brush and touched humble farm animals with a magical wintry enchantment. Joyner's snow-animals are the stars of her special Christmas collection of paintings, prints and cards, and are the featured works at 3 Pears Gallery on the Dorset Green. Other 3 Pears artists have created special holiday pieces as well: Jim Rodgers's oil paintings of winter landscapes; Kathie Thompson's gold-spangled, night-lit Dorset Christmas tree; Mary Iselin's popular paintings of

manger animals haloed in a soft, peaceful glow.

"You can deck the walls with fine art, and you can also find artisanal accents for the holiday table, or original decorations for the mantelpiece," says owner Greg DeLuca about the wide array of thoughtful gift-giving options at the gallery. And as for festooning the tree, "We have beautiful one-of-a-kind painted glass ornaments, fused glass pendants, oil miniatures, and paintings on disks of birch, all of which will delight for generations of Christmases to come," he says.

Come and enjoy hot cider and Dorset Union Store's signature cookies at 3 Pears Gallery's annual Holiday Open House on Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28, from noon – 5 p.m.
