Dear leading development efforts at LTS

Posted
DORSET - As the new fiscal year begins, Head of School Steven E. Dear is leading the development efforts of Long Trail School. "I feel that it is imperative that the Head of School plays a key role in advancement," said Dear. "To that end, I will continue to devote a significant portion of my time to the school's connection to its donors."

Kim Rizio has joined Dear in these efforts as Development Coordinator. A veteran English teacher for more than 20 years at LTS, Rizio has been integrally involved in the school's growth and has shepherded students through many aspects of school life. She will continue to teach a limited number of classes in addition to her development work.

Martha Heilemann is joining Long Trail School as Director of Philanthropy. A longtime resident of Manchester, Heilemann is the mother of Adam Heilemann (LTS class of '94). Heilemann brings a unique talent of planning to the school. She has spent 26 years in development, working at Hildene, The Bennington Museum, and Southwestern Vermont Health Care. Certified by Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) International, Heilemann will be the contact for planned giving and development organization.
