Danby-Mt. Tabor FD sets carnival

DANBY - The Danby-Mt. Tabor Fire Department will be holding the Annual Fireman's Carnival on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. each day.

The carnival will take place at the firehouse located on 590 North Main Street in Danby.

There will be food and carnival games. New this year will be the "Win a Cake" booth. There will also be classic favorites including "Smokey's Outhouse," "Dime Pitch," and "The Big Wheel," among others.

Food available for purchase will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sausages, hot dogs, fries and various homemade desserts.

Two raffles will be held for the event. Annual Merchant raffle tickets will be available for sale with a drawing being held on Saturday evening. There will also be the annual Teddy Bear Money Raffle with 200, $1 bills covering the stuffed bear. The drawing for that raffle will also take place on Saturday. Additional Teddy Bear tickets can be purchased at Mt. Tabor Country Store. It is not necessary to be present to win as long as names and contact information are written on the tickets.

The music Friday will be provided by DJ Wild Bill and and The Bluebillies will perform on Saturday evening.
