Country Sports celebration at Covey & Nye

MANCHESTER VILLAGE - To mark the opening of their newly expanded store, outfitter Covey & Nye will be holding a celebration of the Country Sporting Life on Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attending will be acclaimed sporting artist Adriano Manocchia, expert dog trainer Alec Sparks, outdoor wood craftsman Jim Becker, fine gun expert Lars Jacob, dog training author and the newly appointed editor of Covey Rise Magazine Joe Healy, legendary Savile Row tailor Leonard Logsdail, and designers and representatives from the best outdoor sporting life apparel and hunting gear brands - Beretta, Braeval, Dubarry, Filson, Holland & Holland, Lotuff Leather and Peter Millar.

Holland & Holland's Guy Davies will display what can only be seen in their New York, London or Moscow showrooms - premier shotguns and rifles from the Company's famed Gun Rooms. Covey & Nye's own fine gun collection was recently heralded as "the best anywhere" by Covey Rise Magazine, with collectors and enthusiasts travelling from all over the world to see the assemblage housed in Manchester Village. Covey & Nye will open its outstanding fine gun library for inspection where the public can learn about the incredible works of art that these fine shotguns represent.

As part of the event, there will be prize giveaways, a hunting dog training demonstration, and visits from a veritable "who's who" of the outdoor sporting life. There will also be live music in the form of Scottish Highlands bagpipes and food will include barbecued pheasant.

Covey & Nye's retail flagship store features field and country apparel, gifts, and luggage for men and women from the premier sporting brands in the world. Covey & Nye also has one of the top fine shotgun libraries and wingshooting schools in the country. For more information, go to or visit their retail location at 3566 Main Street in Manchester.
