Concerts on the Green returning
MANCHESTER >> The 2016 Bank of Bennington Town Green Concert Series kicks off on Tuesday July 12 at 6 p.m. with Moose Crossing, a jazz band from Poultney.
The Town Green Concert Series starts on July 12 with Moose Crossing and ends on Aug. 16 with The Don't Leave Band. Other bands include the Julie Shea Band on July 19, So Far on July 26, John O'Rourke Legato Blues Band on Aug. 2, and The Battenkillers on Aug. 9.
A new post and beam bandstand, complete with slate roof, providing cover for the bands and an even more festive atmosphere will also be unveiled.
The Factory Point Town Green is located on Depot Street (Rt. 11/30), just east of the intersection with Main Street (Route 7A). Attendees are reminded to bring a lawn chair or blanket. There is no smoking on the Town Green, and dogs must be leashed at all times. Vending, including hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and other drinks, will be available during the concerts.
