Comeback falls short

Posted
POULTNEY -- The Arlington Memorial High School boys basketball team got themselves into a 16-0 hole in the first five minutes against Poultney and couldn't come all the way back in a 61-49 loss on Monday night.

The Eagles (4-5) got as close as five in the fourth quarter, but two back-to-back baskets by the Blue Devils stopped the comeback.

Sam White had 23 points and 18 rebounds to lead Poultney. Alex Trayah was the high scorer for the Eagles with 13. Olden Dwyer added 11.
