Collision on Route 30 results in no injuries
According to the police, the operator of a 2001 Oldsmobile sedan, 17 year old Caitlyn Hale of Manchester was traveling west on Vermont Route 11/30 and came into a sharp curve to the left. The sedan drifted to the right and scraped the guardrail prior to coming across the center line and striking the driver side rear of a 2007 Chevy truck traveling east, being operated by 46 year old Scott Mohlenhoff of Sunderland.
The impact pushed the truck into the guardrail and the sedan also continued into the guardrail before coming to rest. Both operators reported minor injuries and were checked by EMS personnel but were not transported to a hospital. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. The Winhall Police Department was assisted by The Vermont State Police, Manchester Police, Winhall and Manchester Fire Departments and Manchester Rescue.
