Coffin to give Civil War lecture at Hildene

MANCHESTER - Vermont author and Civil War historian Howard Coffin will give a lecture, "Vermont and the Civil War," on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at Hildene.

Vermonters played a pivotal role in the Union cause at Gettsburg. Coffin will give a fascinating and educational lecture on the Civil War and how Vermont made a difference.

This is a Vermont Humanities Council event, sponsored by the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in the State of Vermont.

The event is free, open to the public and accessible to people with disabilities.
